ohmigosh. saf open house 2004 rocks. it realli rocks. im dead serious. it is for me. i like it. k. i start now. went to safti mi wif my dad and sis at abt like 3?? i dunno the exact time. turns out, we cannot park at safti itself, but at jurong camp. took a shuttle bus to safti itself. we had to go through a metal detector first before entering safti. quite interesting la. the first thing that i saw when i entered safti was this chinook helicopter. omg. its that damn big. hahaha. we walked around safti, den there was this like ippt thing, where u can do shuttle run,sit up,chin up. my sis tried the shuttle run thing. hahaha. its damn advanced. all electronic wan. hahaha. after that we went to the parade square and looked at the stuff there. i didnt noe that a sar 21 was lighter than a m16. its nice lor. i dun understand y michael doesnt like it. the aiming is damn easy cos its like a sniper's scope. and corking the weapon is like, weird??? hahaha. i saw a sniper rifle le. its cool and cool and cool and cool. hahahahahaha. fun la. got to touch new rifles and stuff. den we went into the medic's field hospital. all air-con. nice. they oso got a dentist chair in it. *shivers* dun talk to me abt a dentist's chair. it gives me the creeps. hahahaha. den my dad and sis went to play some paintball game. they used mp5 navy and wore bullet proof vests. hahaha. i played operation flashpoint. got tanks la. i killed like 2 ppl. hahaha. i rock. den after that, we went to pasir laba camp. took a bus there. i was like abit blur when we reached that place. cos it was big crowded wif both vehicles and people lor. first place i went to was the live firing range. the armyman there said that we like had to wait for 1h 15 mins. but my dad was like " y dun we wait". the weird thing was, after half an hour, it was our turn to shoot. they let us choose whether we wanted to plae wif the m16 or the sar 21. i chose the sar 21..obviously. im sick of the m16. hahaha. no offence to m16 lovers. they gave me some earplugs. i thought no need to use wan. i was just sitting down there when, BANG. wat the hell.. so loud ah.. hahaha. shooting is veri veri fun. wif the sar 21 it is la. for me. they gave me 5 bullets. all loaded for me by the time the i got to it. the guy helping me was very nice. thank god i wore those earplugs. i thought that shoudnt be that loud. i like squeezed the trigger and bang. my right ear like suddenly cannot hear properly. hahahaha. in the end, i shot the target 3 times of out 5. not bad la. my dad got all five. cannot blame me wad. hes a marksman oso. a way better one than i am. all in all, shooting rocks. it realli does. after shooting, we queued up for the battleground ride thing. had to queue up. it was soooo long. i got another free pair of earplugs from there, and a free dog tag. yay. another addition to my collection. plus, i tried something that i never tried before. COMBAT RATIONS. yay. hahaha. i thought it was like all gooey and stuff. turned out it was nice. delicious in fact. first time i tried it. so there i was, queueing and queueing and queuing. until finally, it was my turn. basically, the battleground tour was in a 5 tonner. for those who doesnt noe wad a five tonner is, its just a big lorry thats very heavy. the feeling of being in a truck wif no canvas on top is cool. i had this commando guy called jevon as a tour guide. cool guy la. did jumps out of planes and stuff. during the ride, he let us use this thing called the nc or smth liddat. it just a night vision goggle. damn fun lor. its not every day that we get to play wif night vision goggles. hahahaha. i wish i could buy one. the truck drove past 2 howitzers. the primus and the fh2000. omg. those are like. whoa. i never realli seen those before. onli saw the fh2000 in the hist textbook. the highlight of the ride was the live firing thing. basically, the truck just parke behind a light tank, 2 armoured carriers, a jeep and some guardsman in the bushes. i didnt noe wad was going on. den out of nowhere, there were these flashes in the sky, den the machine guns started to ring away. i was going to stand up and watch the tanks hit the targets in the hill, when BOOOOOOOM. there was this huge recoil and flash of light. i fell back, and didnt dare to get up again. hahahahahaha. it was damn nice seeing a tank fire its cannon. didnt expect it to be soo loud. on the way back, the commando guy was telling us stories of commando life and how ppl get kicked out of commando skool if they just get injured. i feel sorry for them. k. i'll end here now. for those who wants to go to the army open hse, mondae is the last dae. but den i would rather u guys go tml and stay there until it closes. cos u wont get to go for the nite firing and stuff. theres a shuttle bus service at jurong east mrt station i guess. k. byee.
